PHILIPSTOWN, N.Y. -- The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Cortlandt barracks have announced that missing 16-year-old Karla Galarza, who has lived in Philipstown the last five months, has been located in good health, state police have announced. A store employee from the Gem Star Department Store at 1019 Southern Boulevard in the Bronx, recognized Galarza from a missing persons flyer and immediately called 911. She was transported to a nearby hospital for precautionary reasons.
Galarza is diagnosed with significant developmental disabilities, low cognitive function, bipolar disorder, other psychiatric conditions and is in need of multiple prescription medications, police said.
