Christopher M. Saraceno, 36, was arrested on Sunday, May 26, after being stopped on Route 9 in the town of Poughkeepsie by state police, said Trooper AJ Hicks, spokesman for the New York State Police.
During the stop, troopers found that he was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol with a child in the vehicle, Hicks said.
He was charged with aggravated DWI Leandra's Law.
Saraceno was one of 27 motorists arrested over the Memorial Day weekend by state police's Troop K.
