According to police in Yorktown, shortly after 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, police stopped Anthony Decesare on Route 6 when patrol noticed a vehicle which allegedly had a defective plate lamp, prompting a traffic stop.
During the subsequent investigation, responding officers said that they determined that Decesare was in possession of two Suboxone sublingual films, a controlled substance.
Suboxone sublingual film is indicated for treatment of opioid dependence and should be used as part of a complete treatment plan to include counseling and psychosocial support, according to drugs.com.
Decesare was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was charged with a misdemeanor count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Decesare was arraigned and released on $100 bail. He is due back in court next month.
