Firefighters battled a pair of separate brush fires that both broke out around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
A brush fire in the area of 160 Route 55 in Pawling that went from two-alarm to three-alarm status produced heavy smoke in the area.
Trucks and tankers were also on the scene of a brush fire on Osborn Drive in Garrison.
