2 Motorists In Putnam Charged With Driving While Intoxicated

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Putnam County sheriff's deputies made two arrests recently on charges of driving while intoxicated.

Deputy Sheriff Kevin Radovich stopped a motorist who had committed traffic violations on Route 6 in the Town of Southeast on June 11 at 2:34 a.m. 

The deputy arrested the driver, Gregory A. Tricario, 28, of Danbury, Conn., and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. 

The deputy also found that Tricario was in possession cocaine and additionally charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.

Deputy Sheriff Robert Hudson responded to a 911 report of an erratic driver on Route 311 in the Town of Patterson on June 12 at 9:55 p.m. The deputy observed the driver commit a traffic violation and proceeded to stop the vehicle.

The deputy arrested Ivan O. Chamale-Muralles, 38, of New Milford, Conn., and charged him with driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety tests. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment. 

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendants could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 for each charge.
