Halk was born Dec. 9, 1959, in the Bronx, to Joseph and Joan McVeigh Halk.
Halk is survived by his daughter, Jaclyn Halk of White Plains; life partner and best friend, Lisa Asmodeo; father, Joseph (Madeline) Halk, Sr.; sister-in-law, Trudy Halk; brothers, Thomas, Timothy (Pamela) and Peter (Tracey Pancenza) Halk; three nieces; a great niece and great nephew. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Halk; brothers, John, Michael and Joe Halk; nephew, Thomas Halk; and great niece Penelope Rae Devlin.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 17 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at St. Patrick's Church, Yorktown, with a private cremation to follow.
