A wake will be held in his honor from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 6, at the Cargain Funeral Home, 10 Fowler Ave., in Carmel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, at the funeral home.
Gilmore, 54, who worked at the department for 28 years, is survived by his wife Amy; daughter Mattingly; father John B. Gilmore and his wife Eve; brother John B. Gilmore, Jr., and his wife Karee; sister Cynthia Teddy and her husband James; mother-in-law Ann Van Derwerker; and brother-in-law Bill Van Derwerker and his wife Stacey.
Parking will be available at the municipal lot at the Putnam County Office Building at 40 Gleneida Ave., in Carmel, and at the Carmel Volunteer Fire Department at 94 Gleneida Ave.
