MAHOPAC, N.Y. - Harry R. Rydquist of Mahopac died Saturday, Sept. 6. He was 87.
Rydquist was born Dec. 13, 1926, in the Bronx. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After 50 years of working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Sandy Hook, N.J., he retired as a captain of a patrol boat.
Rydquist is survived by his daughter, Joan Cafaro (Angelo); sister, Ella Dailey; and a grandson. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris.
