Power has been restored to several thousand residents in Putnam County within the past hours, but almost 400 residences are still powerless, according to NYSEG.
At noon Thursday, ripping winds and heavy snow had severed power to 3,379 customers, but crews have been able to restore power to most except for 191 in Southeast, 21 in Carmel, 117 in Patterson, and 2 in Somers.
NYSEG said if you have a downed power line, gas odor or other dangerous situation, to call 911. To report an electricity outage, click here.
