Putnam County Celebrates Sunny Holiday Weekend

COLD SPRING, N.Y. -- Putnam County finally got a sunny day after a stormy Independence Day, and residents and visitors moved outdoors to enjoy the holiday weekend Saturday, July 5.

Hikers, cyclists, campers and joggers visited Fahnstock State Park, and others went to downtown Cold Spring to enjoy farmers markets, restaurants and shopping. 

The Cold Spring Living Trolley was active most of Saturday, carrying visitors from the Cold Spring Visitors Center to the Garrison Landing. Running Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the trolley makes stoops at the Foundry Museum and Boscobel.
