New York State Police Conducts Traffic Safety Campaign For Teen Drivers

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. --  New York State Police will announce participation in a week-long, multi-agency, statewide traffic safety campaign aimed at minimizing crashes involving teen driver on Friday, April 17 at Shaker High School in Latham.

State police will be joined by representatives from the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, law enforcement and school officials at 10 a.m. Shaker High School is located at 445 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham.

Nearly every year, communities across New York State experience the tragic deaths of young high school students in traffic crashes just prior to graduation. This year, the state police and other participating agencies are working to limit the number of accidents during graduation season.
