Katie Jo could be considered a very lucky cat. When the Mahopac-based New Beginnings Pet Rescue program pulled her from a New York City kill list, her death date had passed and the Humane Society was told Katie Jo already had been euthanized. The people who were running the kill list then double-checked and found they had "forgotten" to euthanize her.
Katie Jo's real name is unknown because she was surrendered to a high-kill shelter by the only person she'd ever known for nine years.
She lived with her owner and no other animals and she needs to be an only pet. She is very quiet and is a good cat. She is up to date on vaccinations and healthy.
If you can give Katie Jo a wonderful, loving forever home, email New Beginnings Pet Rescue at: newbeginningspetrescue@gmail.com.
