The exhibit opened on Sept. 12, to a standing room only crowd.

The show features two and three-dimensional art created by eight emerging and 14 emeritus artists.

Also featured is an emeritus performing artist and one emeritus literary artist with fellow poets.

The opening provided an opportunity for artists and others to view art, connect with other artists and enjoy an afternoon performance by Somers resident and Julliard trained Mark Snyder on the piano.

The community is invited to the closing reception on Sunday from 3-5 p.m.

The reception celebrates the literary arts with an afternoon of poetry.

Readings by poets from around the region including Lucille Gilliland, an author and poet from Brewster; Kate Fox, a Mahopac graduate and award winning poet from Suffolk County; Samantha Apicella of the Mahopac Library Writers Group; and Joe Lobel of the Lake Writers at Arts on the Lake.

The closing reception is free of charge.

This exhibit is sponsored by Tompkins Mahopac Bank, Nancy Dill and Mr. and Mrs. E. Nobles Lowe, and continues through Sunday with gallery hours Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
