A stretch of I-84 in Orange County reopened Monday afternoon after being closed for approximately four hours following a late morning multi-vehicle accident that involved a tractor-trailer and three cars.
The crash, on the westbound side, was between Route 208 (Exit 5) and the Wallkill rest area, with backups to Exit 5A (Drury Lane/Route 54), occurred shortly after 10 a.m.
One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The roadway reopened around 2 p.m. after a hazardous materials team cleaned up a large fuel leak.
