Then head over to Mario's Sandwich Company in Wappingers Falls to meet Joseph Gannascoli aka Vito Spatafore on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Sunday, Feb. 23.
Owned by Frank Camey, Hudson Valley Magazine's 2019 Chef of the Year, the two days of fun will begin around 12:30 p.m. each day and include a signature sandwich by Gannascoli, autograph signing, a meet and greet, a cannoli eating contest, and well as Frank put it "an all around great gabagool eating day!!
The restaurant, named after Camey's grandfather, Mario, is a favorite for great sandwiches, house-made focaccia, and of course, mozzarella.
In case, you aren't up on the Sopranos family tree, Gannascoli's character was one of Tony Soprano's soldiers who eventually had to flee after his sexual preferences were undercovered by his fellow "family" members.
And, hey, a little trivia, did you know that Gannascoli sometimes cooks himself for famous people on the Hamptons?
The shop is located at 10 Market St., Wappingers Falls. Check them out on Facebook or call 845-297-7556.
