Low temperatures dipping into the 30s and 40s will help prompt the change from green leaves to the vibrant yellows and oranges that are the trademark of autumn in the Hudson Valley, AccuWeather.com reported.

Peak foliage season typically takes place in late September or early October, but meteorologists say the best views might come a few weeks later this year, according to AccuWeather.
