“I feel fantastic,” said Valentino, 64, of Mahopac.
Valentino had weight-loss surgery at Putnam Hospital Center on Sept. 17, specifically a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, where the stomach is reduced by 85 to 90 percent.
He has since shed 92 pounds from his original 377-pound frame and is very optimistic about continuing on his weight-loss journey. His initial goal is to reach 270 pounds, he said.
“I will break the 100-pound mark and keep going,” Valentino said.
Valentino opted for the procedure because of various issues related to his weight, including high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Today, his blood counts are good, he said.
“Things couldn’t be better,” he said.
