Red Rooster Drive-In, Brewster

The Scoop: It's a touch of Americana with its triangular shape and sock-hop appeal. In business 50-years-plus, you know they're doing something right. Ice cream -- super fresh and not ultra-pasteurized -- is a huge draw (as are the burgers). Soft serve is king -- think vanilla, chocolate, and twist -- but customers also like the hard ice cream flavors.

Of special note: Red Rooster was a finalist in our 2015 DVlicious "Best Ice Cream" contest.
