Putnam Health Department Hosts Races For All Ages

There will be a 5K run, a 1-mile walk and a half-mile fun run for kids.

The races, which will be held Sunday, Sept. 7, will start and finish at the Putnam County Department of Health, 1 Geneva Road in Brewster.

Registration is $15 if done before Aug. 31 for the 5K run and 1 mile walk. The fee will go up to $20 after Aug. 31.

The half mile kids' fun run, for children 12 and younger, is free though registration is required.

There will be awards for the first overall male and female as well as the top three men and women in each category. Finishers of the fun run will receive a commemorative medal.

Registration can be done online or by mailing in a completed form to mail in your check. Make check payable to Putnam County Department of Health, 1 Geneva Road, Brewster, NY 10509. Checks should be made out to the  Commissioner of Finance.
