Boscobel House and Gardens is hosting "Living History: Military Reenactment Day" -- "an outdoor experience that promises muskets, memories and more!" -- Sunday.
Boscobel and the Living History Education Foundation are partnering to bring "an all-day encampment of soldiers honoring its ties to such legendary historic wars as the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War and World War II," organizers said. "Reenactors will demonstrate military camp life including inspections, formations, musket firings, artillery demonstrations and drills, all which take place on the grounds of Boscobel House and Gardens, overlooking the majestic Hudson River and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point."
Admission is included in the price of a grounds ticket: $11 for adults, $5 for kids 6-14 and free for Boscobel members, Blue Star Museum members and children younger than 6. A higher-priced ticket includes guided tours of the house.
Pappi's Mediterranean and Phil's Grills food trucks will be on hand throughout the event.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. The day's agenda is attached below. Boscobel is at 1601 Route 9D, in Garrison.
