The Putnam County Wine & Food Fest is a two-day event scheduled for the weekend of Aug. 6-7 at the Beaver Creek Equestrian Center, 683 Route 311, according to organizers. It will run from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday.
The festival, which also will host a number of musical acts, is to feature celebrity chef Johnny Ciao, who is to join the Dean Shot Band for a live musical performance.
Also scheduled to perform is the Jim Marrone Trio, along with other bands that will be announced over the coming weeks. The performances will feature musical genres ranging between pop, country, R&B and reggae.
Those wine and spirit merchants who have signed on to appear at the festival so far include the Adirondack Winery, Awestruck Hard Ciders, Kas Spirits LLC, and Pazdar Winery. A number of distillers also are set to be in attendance, including Jewel of Russia.
Some of the food vendors scheduled to attend this year’s festival include Gourmet Creations and Sherri’s Crab Cakes. Scheduled craft vendors include, Soukoup Farms and SallyeAnder Soaps.
Organizers said an important part of the Putnam County Wine & Food Fest is giving back to the community.
A portion of this year’s proceeds will go to Dutchess/Putnam REACT, an organization that provides safe radio assistance for community events.
The Putnam County Wine & Food Fest, which has been attended by more than 4,500 people in the past few years, is still accepting sponsorship, vendor and volunteer applications. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
