2 Firefighters Injured After Blaze Breaks Out At Woodmere Home A house fire on Long Island left two firefighters injured. The blaze broke out at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Woodmere at a home on Mosher Avenue. Responders arrived to find flames emanating from the rear of the residence. All occupants were evacuated safely, while multiple fire departments, led by the Woodmere Fire Department, worked to extinguish the blaze. Driver Behind DWI Crash Killing 15-Year-Old In Woodmere Found Guilty Of Vehicular Homicide More than two years after a 15-year-old girl was killed in a drunk driving crash on Long Island, the man responsible has been convicted. Arlin Aguilera, age 37, of West Hempstead, was found guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide and related charges by a Nassau County jury on Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the death of Liel Namdar.
