During a driving lesson, the instructor, Arnold Stecker, age 72, of Hauppauge, an employee of Fitzgerald Driving School, inappropriately touched the 20-year-old female student on Kenilworth Drive in East Northport on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at about 8:30 p.m. Following an investigation by the Suffolk County PD Second Squad, Stecker was charged with forcible touching on Saturday, Sept. 14. Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Man Police are asking for help in locating a missing Long Island man. James Mangino, age 70, of East Northport, was last seen on 8th Avenue at around 3 p.m. Monday, July 29. Suffolk County Police said he suffers from dementia and may be in need of medical attention. Mangino was driving a 2018 white Toyota Camry with New York registration CVW-4099. He was wearing a gray hat with red writing and gray sweatpants. It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, in West Islip. A 40-year-old man from Central Islip was driving a 2014 Audi A8 westbound on the eastbound side of the Sunrise Highway Service Road at Malts Avenue.  According to Suffolk County Police, his vehicle crashed head-on with a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling eastbound. 2 Men Dead In Separate Drownings At Long Island Homes Two men have died following separate drowning incidents in residential swimming pools on Long Island. The first incident happened at an East Northport home on Ketay Drive South shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, July 4. Suffolk County Police said John Vormbaum, age 79, was found unresponsive in a pool. An officer performed CPR, but Vormbaum was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital. Emergency crews were called again at around 2:15 a.m. Friday, July 5, for an unresponsive man in a private swimming pool in Wyandanch, located on Jamaica Avenue.
