23-Year-Old Suffolk Man Killed In NYC ‘Melee’ Outside Bar, Police Say
A Long Island man was stabbed to death in northern Manhattan early Monday, Aug. 10, police said.
The NYPD said Steven Bodnar, 23, of Holbrook, was killed in a “melee” on Nagle Avenue in Washington Heights around 12:45 a.m., Newsday reported.
Investigators said Bodnar was one of two 23-year-old men stabbed outside a bar, Karamelo, according to amNewYork. He was wounded in the abdomen and pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital, according to authorities.

The new boyfriend of an angry Long Island native admitted to stabbing her ex-boyfriend to death on Tuesday, Aug. 11, according to authorities.
Victor Panebianco, 32, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the killing of Christopher Millwater near the Stony Brook Yacht Club last year, according to online court records.

A drunk Long Island driver fled the scene of an accident early Tuesday, Aug. 11, police said.
Matthew Buckley, 45, of East Quogue, was involved in a crash at the intersection of East Tiana Road and Corwin Lane in Hampton Bays around 12:15 a.m., the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Cops responded to reports of a car wreck with property damage and realized Buckley’s vehicle had fled the scene, police said. It was located afterward on Yale Drive in Hampton Bays, about 1.4 miles from the crash intersection, according to authorities.
