Police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver involved in a hit-and-run Long Island crash. A white box truck was traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley, near Flower Hill Drive, when it struck a 2015 Kia Optima at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26. Trio Nabbed For Burglary On Former Long Island College Campus
Two women and a man were arrested on an abandoned college campus after they were allegedly caught with burglar tools and tried to flee the cops. It happened in Shirley on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 27, Suffolk County Police said. At around 3 p.m. that day, a security guard working at the former Dowling College campus, located at 1300 William Floyd Parkway, noticed that the previously-secured gate was now open. Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old From Farmingville ID'd As Victim In Shirley
A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight on Long Island. It happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, May 26, in Shirley. Suffolk County Police said the man was driving a 2015 Infiniti Q50 southbound on William Floyd Parkway, just north of Robinwood Drive, when he lost control of the car. The vehicle struck a metal guardrail and overturned multiple times.
