Long Island Man ID'd As Victim In Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In
Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road. 3 Women Shot Outside Suburban NY Restaurant
A suspect is on the loose after three women were shot outside a restaurant in the Hudson Valley. It happened just after 3 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in Central Nyack, outside CY's Restaurant and Lounge, located at 37 Route 59. Arrival officers discovered a woman with gunshot wounds to her leg and abdomen, lying on the ground in front of the establishment, Clarkstown Police said. The officers, along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS), provided immediate medical aid before transporting her to Montefiore Nyack Hospital. The identity has been released of a 32-year-old who was killed in an overnight crash on Long Island. It happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Glen Cove. According to Nassau County Police, the victim, a man riding a bicycle, was traveling eastbound, approaching Glen Cove Avenue from a walkway behind a residential building. Police said the bicyclist then entered traffic and struck a 2004 Honda Accord being driven by a 31-year-old man. A 23-year-old was killed in a chain-reaction, wrong-way crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, in Mount Sinai. A teenager has been apprehended after police say he left the scene of a Long Island crash that seriously injured a woman. It happened just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 in Wyandanch. Two paramedics in upstate New York who were seen on a viral video mistreating and berating a developmentally disabled patient have resigned. The Greene County incident happened Friday evening, May 17, in the Village of Catskill.
