The crash happened at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 at approximately 6:30 a.m., in West Babylon. The woman was crossing Route 109 when she was struck by a southbound 2009 Nissan Altima at the intersection of Old Farmingdale Road, Suffolk County Police said. Gianna Tocco, age 12, was last seen in Farmingdale at around 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, according to Nassau County Police.
