Long Island Husband, Wife Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash Crash
Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle midday Long Island crash. It happened just after 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Melville. Fred Goldberg, age 92, was driving a 2022 Acura eastbound on Ruland Road when he lost control of the vehicle and veered through traffic, crossing a grass median on the northwest corner of the intersection of Pinelawn Road, according to Suffolk County Police. Election 2024: Water Quality Proposal Decided By Long Island Voters
Long Island voters have made their voices heard on a ballot measure aimed at improving water quality. Suffolk County’s Proposal 2 was overwhelmingly approved by a margin of 72 to 28 percent, according to the Suffolk County Board of Elections. It will add a one-eighth of a cent sales tax increase – or 12.5 cents on every $100 spent – to expand the sewer system. It would also provide tax-free grants to Suffolk County homeowners on septic systems to connect directly to the sewer system. Alert Issued For Missing 17-Year-Old Girl From Long Island
Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island. Jenna Ceruti, age 17, of Bay Shore, was last seen on Sunday, Nov. 3, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. She is believed to be in the local area. No other information was given. Ceruti previously went missing for two weeks in August 2023 before being located. She is 5-foot-7 and 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
