One person was killed in a chain-reaction crash involving multiple vehicles on the Long Island Expressway. It happened in Plainview on Saturday, Nov. 30 at around 7:15 a.m. near Exit 46. A 55-year-old man driving a 2002 Mazda pickup truck struck a 2006 Honda Pilot in the HOV lane, Nassau County Police said. Both vehicles stopped, with the Mazda coming to a halt in the left lane. Person Struck, Killed By Car Turning Onto Long Island Roadway
A person died after being struck by a car on Long Island. The crash happened just before 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, in Brentwood. Suffolk County Police said a 24-year-old Brentwood woman was driving a 2012 Acura TL and turning left onto eastbound Suffolk Avenue from Eisenhower Avenue when she struck a pedestrian in the roadway. A man has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle Long Island crash. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 in Glen Cove. A 2001 Mercedes-Benz ML 320 driven by a 64-year-old woman was traveling westbound on Brewster Street and making a left turn when it collided with a 2018 Honda motorcycle, Nassau County Police said. Three teenagers from Long Island were hospitalized after a rollover crash on a busy parkway exit ramp in Westchester that caused a several-hour-long closure, police said.
