Man Hid Human Remains Found Along Long Island Highway: Police A man has been arrested after police said he concealed human remains that were found along a local highway. Garry Cowell, age 72 of Patchogue, was arrested on Thursday, June 27, according to Suffolk County Police. At approximately 4:30 p.m., police discovered human remains in East Patchogue along Montauk Highway near County Road 101. The remains were taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner for an autopsy and to be identified. Cowell was arrested by Homicide Squad detectives following an investigation. Duo Nabbed For String Of Suffolk County ATM Burglaries Two men have been accused of burglarizing multiple businesses and stealing ATMs on Long Island. Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives, the two were arrested and charged with a series of commercial burglaries and an attempted burglary between Tuesday, March 5, and Monday, March 11.
