30-Year-Old Takes Troopers On Pursuit On Taconic Parkway In Hudson Valley
A 30-year-old man has been charged with allegedly taking New York State Police on a pursuit on the Taconic Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County in Pleasant Valley around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2014 Ford Taurus northbound on the Taconic Parkway for violations of the vehicle and traffic law. Fourth Of July Crackdown: Extra DUI Patrols To Monitor NY Roads Over Holiday Weekend
Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that extra patrols will be on the lookout for drunk and drugged drivers over the Fourth of July weekend. Starting on Wednesday, July 3 at 6 p.m. and lasting through midnight on Sunday, July 7, New York State Police and local law enforcement agencies will increase patrols on highways across the state.
