Worker Airlifted Following Accident At Long Island Industrial Business
An employee was hospitalized following an accident at a Long Island industrial business. Emergency crews in Inwood were called to the Inwood Material Terminal located on Sheridan Boulevard shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. Nassau County Police said a preliminary investigation found that a 49-year-old man fell off the platform of an excavator and landed on the ground. Medics at the scene treated the victim for back trauma before he was flown to a hospital. The man was conscious and alert throughout the ordeal, police said. The accident is under investigation.

1 Killed During Crash At North Bay Shore Intersection During Height Of Evening Commute
A person was killed after being struck by a compact SUV during the height of the evening commute at a busy Long Island intersection.It happened just before 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in North Bay Shore. A 76-year-old North Bay Shore man was driving a 2015 Honda CRV westbound on Pine Aire Drive at the intersection of 5th Avenue. The victim, who police have not yet identified, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the CRV was not injured. Teen Duo Charged After Knife Found At Sachem North High School In Lake Ronkonkoma
Two teens have been charged following a dispute that allegedly prompted one of them to bring a knife to school on Long Island. A 15-year-old boy displayed the knife at his bus stop and was met by staff members as he exited the bus at Sachem High School North in Lake Ronkonkoma, according to Suffolk County Police. A 20-year-old was seriously injured in a single-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 in Copiague. The victim, a man who resides in Copiague, was riding a gas-powered scooter eastbound on Oak Street, near the Long Island Railroad Station, when he lost control and struck a cement pillar, according to Suffolk County Police. Man Sets Off Fireworks At Long Island 7-Eleven, Remains At Large: Police
Authorities are searching for a person who caused an explosion at a Long Island 7-Eleven and his two accomplices. It happened on Wednesday, May 29 in Elmont. Just after 11:33 p.m., Nassau County Police said that a man walked into the 7-Eleven located at 254 Elmont Road, lit a single firework, and threw it into the store’s middle aisle.
