43-Year-Old Struck By Vehicle On Long Island A man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Long Island. The crash occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, in front of 1640 Montauk Highway in Bellport.  A 71-year-old Bellport man was driving a 2010 Toyota RAV4 westbound on Montauk Highway when the vehicle struck a 43-year-old man as he was crossing the road. 1 Killed After House Fire Breaks Out In Seaford One person died in an overnight house fire on Long Island. The blaze broke out at around 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in Seaford. First responders observed the second floor of the home on Crescent Cove Drive engulfed in flames.  The Seaford Fire Department extinguished the flames, but the residence sustained extensive damage.  An 85-year-old man was removed from the residence and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 8, by a hospital physician. Worker Airlifted Following Accident At Inwood Industrial Business An employee was hospitalized following an accident at a Long Island industrial business. Emergency crews in Inwood were called to the Inwood Material Terminal located on Sheridan Boulevard shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. Nassau County Police said a preliminary investigation found that a 49-year-old man fell off the platform of an excavator and landed on the ground. Medics at the scene treated the victim for back trauma before he was flown to a hospital. The man was conscious and alert throughout the ordeal, police said. The accident is under investigation.

It happened on Wednesday, May 29 in Elmont. Just after 11:33 p.m., Nassau County Police said that a man walked into the 7-Eleven located at 254 Elmont Road, lit a single firework, and threw it into the store’s middle aisle.
