Man Steals Over $150K From Victim In Northern Westchester, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man faces larceny charges after allegedly stealing more than $150,000 from a victim in Northern Westchester.
On Saturday, Feb. 18, around 4 p.m., a victim alerted police in Yorktown that a man had stolen a total of $160,000 from him on two occasions under false pretenses, according to Yorktown Police.
Officers then began an investigation into the incident and identified the suspect as 36-year-old Anthony Savino of Mahopac. Following this, the department tried numerous times to contact him but was unsuccessful.

Paramedic Steals From Man Killed In Car Crash In Northern Westchester, Police Say
A paramedic allegedly stole from a man killed in a car crash in Northern Westchester that he responded to, police said.
The crash happened in Yorktown on Thursday, Jan. 26, when a man, whose identity was not released, was critically injured and eventually died from his injuries.
A day later, on Friday, Jan. 27, Yorktown Police were notified that some of the victim's personal property was missing, including an electronic communication device.

ID Released For Town Employee Hit, Killed By Vehicle In Northern Westchester, Police Say
The identity of a town worker hit and killed by a vehicle in Northern Westchester has been released by officials.
Jake Arcara, age 28, was killed in Yorktown around 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the area of 477 London Road.
Arcara, of Yorktown, was working on a drainage project on London Road with fellow employees when he was struck by the vehicle operated by an 88-year-old local resident, town officials said.
Arcara later died from his injuries, Yorktown Police said.

Man Accused Of Burglarizing Northern Westchester Home, Injuring Victim
A 34-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a Northern Westchester home and injuring the person who lived there.
Police responded at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, to a report of a domestic incident that had occurred on Friday, May 27, at a Yorktown residence, according to the Yorktown Police Department.
When officers arrived, they were told that a man, identified as Jervonie Gray, of Ossining, had entered the victim's home unlawfully, injured the victim, and damaged property, police said.
Gray was already in custody in the City of Yonkers on unrelated charges, police said.
