Massive Four-Alarm Hudson Valley Fire Shuts Down Area Roadway
A massive four-alarm fire at a two-story commercial building has closed a busy Huson Valley roadway. The fire, which started around 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 12, in Rockland County at 83 Lafayette Ave., in Suffern, has closed the roadway from Chestnut Street to Washington Avenue, said the Ramapo Police. Numerous fire departments are on the scene. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. No word yet of any injuries or what businesses are located in the building. This is a developing story. Fatal Shooting Suspect Who Allegedly Fled Through Rockland Apprehended
A trio of New York City police officers helped capture a 23-year-old Mahwah, New Jersey man who authorities said fled, including through Rockland County, after killing his roommate Monday night, July 12. Milan Ghimire was nabbed in the Bronx by members of the NYPD Emergency Services Unit, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said late Tuesday morning, July 13. Massive Manhunt Underway As Suspect In Fatal Shooting Flees Through Rockland
A manhunt was underway after a man was shot and killed in Mahwah, New Jersey. The suspect fled in a black Chrysler with Mississippi license plates as township police rushed to a rented home on Avenue A between Route 202 and Route 17 in West Mahwah and found the body shortly before 10 p.m. Monday, July 12. A cellphone in the vehicle was pinged to several locations in Rockland County, including Washington Avenue in Suffern and the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack.
