Community Rallies To Support Family Of HS Student Killed In Hudson Valley Crash
A community is coming out to support the family of a teen who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley.
Suffern High School sophomore Jacqueline Zangrilli, age 16, died around 2:50 a.m., on Saturday, April 24, when the vehicle she was riding in struck a utility pole, according to the Ramapo Police.
Following Zangrilli's death, a GoFundMe was set up to assist the family with funeral expenses.
"Jacqueline was special in so many ways," said the GoFundMe. "She was an incredible daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend. Jacqueline was full of life."

Driver In Fatal Area Crash Caught Trying To Escape Out Of State, Police Say
An area resident who was charged with vehicular manslaughter after crashing into a utility pole and killing his passenger was arrested, then caught planning an escape to another state, said police.
Ulster County resident Daniel Kellogg, of Saugerties, 22, reportedly crashed his 2000 Honda Accord into a utility pole on Route 9W in the area of the Sunoco at nearly 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22.

Orangeburg Resident Mowing Lawn Struck, Killed By Car Driven By Impaired Man, Police Say
A 53-year-old Rockland man mowing his lawn was killed after being struck by a car being driven by an impaired driver, police said.
It happened on Wednesday, July 15 at about 5:45 p.m. in Orangeburg.
A 2010 Toyota Corolla, operated by Jared S. DeVera, 29, of Englewood, was traveling southbound on Lester Drive, when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a man later identified as Giovanni Boiano, of Orangeburg, Orangetown Police said.
Boiano, who was mowing his lawn at the time, died of injuries sustained in the crash, police said.
