Man From Region Killed By Trooper After Pulling Gun, Police Say A distraught man from the region who threatened self-harm was shot and killed by New York State troopers after allegedly pulling a gun. The incident occurred in Saratoga County around 4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, on Route 9 in the parking lot of Bethel Saratoga in Saratoga Springs. Man From Region Killed By State Trooper After Striking Officer With Car, Police Say A 32-year-old Hudson Valley man was shot and killed by a New York State trooper after allegedly striking the officer with his vehicle. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, on Rock Hill Drive in the town of Thompson.
