Northern Westchester Man Admits To Scamming Consumers Of $9.5M, DOJ Says
A New York man who was an executive at a company in Connecticut has admitted to causing more than $9.5 million in losses to consumers across the country. Northern Westchester County resident Norman Newman, age 74, of Croton-on-Hudson, pleaded guilty today to supplying lists of consumers’ names and addresses for use in schemes that targeted vulnerable victims, according to court documents filed by the United States Department of Justice. Man Who Rammed Vehicle In Westchester Had 'Kill List,' DOJ Says
A Westchester County man with a kill list of prominent people in his vehicle and who told cops he was "Jesus Christ," has been charged in federal court for ramming an MTA vehicle, according to a complaint filed by the United States Department of Justice. Nicholas Skulstad, of Dobbs Ferry, was charged with the destruction of a motor vehicle on Thursday, April 22, for the Monday, April 5 crash. The United States Department of Justice will determine whether or not to investigate the alleged underreporting of COVID-19 deaths in New York nursing homes. Department Of Justice Wants Data On New York Nursing Home Deaths Following Cuomo Order
The United States Department of Justice has requested data from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo after he issued an executive order that may have resulted in the deaths of nursing home residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. The United States Justice Department of Justice is warning the public to be wary of opportunistic fraudsters who have been fear-mongering in the wake of fears of coronavirus. Attorney General William Barr issued an alert warning of fraud schemes related to the COVID-19 outbreak, as he begins to investigate and prosecute scammers.
