A Hudson Valley man could spend years in prison for breaking into a home and attacking a resident with a knife. Orange County resident Jesse Frank, age 38, of Unionville, pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary in Orange County Court on Thursday, March 21. Prosecutors said Frank was armed with a steak knife when he kicked a door down at the victim’s Unionville residence shortly before noon on May 10, 2023. Fatal Wrong-Way Crash: Victim ID'd After Vehicles Collide Head-On In Hudson Valley
One person was killed in a wrong-way, midday crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 11:45 a.m. Friday, June 2 in Orange County on I-84 westbound near mile post marker 11 in the town of Wawayanda. New York State Police say that an investigation revealed Sullivan County resident Tom Lloyd, age 81, of the village of Bloomingburg, was operating a gray 2013 Honda eastbound on the westbound side, in the wrong direction. Hudson Valley Man Stabs Another With Steak Knife, State Police Say
A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing another in the face and head with a steak knife. The incident took place in Orange County around 11:45 a.m., on Wednesday, May 10 on High Street in Unionville. According to Trooper Steve Nevel, troopers responded to a residence for a report of an assault with a knife. Woman Left 50 Dogs In Hudson Valley Home With Little Food, Water, Police Say
Dozens of dogs were abandoned with limited food and water by a Hudson Valley woman who is now facing animal abuse charges. In Orange County, New York State Police investigators arrested Gulsen Iroldi, age 41, of Unionville, on Wednesday, Oct. 20 under a statute of the Agriculture and Markets Law for torturing animals and failure to provide sustenance. Police said that the investigation determined that Iroldi left approximately 50 dogs in an area residence with very little food and water.
