This story has been updated. A stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester County was shut down after part of the roadway collapsed. The closure happened Sunday evening, Sept. 7, on the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway at Farragut Parkway in Hastings-on-Hudson, according to the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department and Westchester County Police. As of around 1:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, all southbound traffic was being diverted off the parkway at the I-87/I-287/Route 119 exit in Elmsford, police said. Box Truck Flips On I-87 In NY, Causes Delays
An overturned box truck caused traffic delays Wednesday morning, July 23 on the New York State Thruway in Orange County. The crash happened at mile marker 49.7 on the northbound lanes of I-87 in Woodbury in the early morning hours on Wednesday, according to the Woodbury Fire Department. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle on their own and suffered only minor injuries. Tow crews responded to upright the truck, and the incident caused residual delays in the area as the scene was cleared.

A driver was killed in a crash involving two tractor-trailers on the New York State Thruway early Saturday, June 21, New York State Police said. The wreck happened around 3:13 a.m. near Exit 12 in Clarkstown, Rockland County, according to state police. Investigators said a passenger vehicle and two tractor-trailers were involved.
