Expect Delays: Work Starts At Busy Hudson Valley Intersection
Traffic will likely be slowed at a busy intersection in the Hudson Valley as crews begin road work. The intersection of Seminary Hill Road and Church Street in the Putnam County town of Carmel will be held up by road work that began on Wednesday, July 24, according to the Carmel Highway Department. Highway Department officials advised motorists in the area to "be patient and allow extra time" as the work may hold up traffic. Motorists can also use Willow Road as an alternate route around the work zone.

Emergency crews were called at around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, after the single-engine Cherokee Archer landed on the eastbound right shoulder of the Southern State Parkway near exit 33 in Babylon. State officials are warning motorists of an upcoming road closure that will affect traffic on Route 9W in the Hudson Valley. Route 9W in Rockland County between Shadyside Avenue and Hickey Street in Orangetown will close on Saturday, Aug. 19, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. Storm Ida: NY Thruway Reopens
The New York State Thruway has reopened after immense flooding from Storm Ida closed down the busy roadway for hours through the Hudson Valley. As of 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 2, the Thruway Authority announced that all lanes are now open on I-87 south between exit 14 and exit 12. Two lanes are open northbound - the right lane remains closed at exit 12 due to flooding. Delays exist from ponding water and traffic. The roadway had been closed for hours in Rockland and Westchester County due to heavy flooding. State Police say motorists should use caution.

A new storm system scheduled to sweep through the region could end as snow in some spots. I-84 Lane Reopens After Disabled Tractor-Trailer Incident
This story has been updated. The left lane on a stretch of I-84 has reopened after a disabled tractor-trailer was removed from the highway. The incident happened in East Fishkill at milepost marker 57, between Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 52 (the Taconic State Parkway) just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
