Woman Dead, Man Injured During Monticello Shooting Police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death in a vehicle and a man badly injured in the region. The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 12:30 a.m., Monday, May 28, outside of Building 2 of the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex at Terri Lane in Monticello. According to Lt. Driver Airlifted After Jeffersonville School Bus Crash The driver of a minivan was airlifted following a crash with a full-size school bus in the region. The collision occurred in Sullivan County around 8:30 a.m., Monday, May 20, on Route 52 in Jeffersonville. Wild Fox In Town Of Bethel Test Positive For Rabies A health department in the region has confirmed that a fox has tested positive for the rabies virus. The fox, which was euthanized, was found in Sullivan County in the town of Bethel, said officials with the Sullivan County Department of Public Health. The department said people exposed to the fox are currently receiving treatment. Rabies occurs commonly throughout the state, mostly occurring in wild animals, including raccoons, bats, foxes, skunks, and woodchucks.
