15-Year-Old Accused Of Making Threat Against School In Region, Police Say A 15-year-old teen from the region has been charged with allegedly making a terroristic threat against a school. On Sunday, Sept. 3, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a threat being made via Instagram against the Eldred Junior and Senior High School in the town of Highland. Third Family Member Dies Following Drowning Incident In Region A third family member has died following a drowning incident in the region. Nasrin Amin, age 21, died Saturday, Sept. 10 at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Nasrin was with her brother and uncle at a vacation rental home on White Lake in the town of Bethel when the incident took place around 2:15 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 28. Man Dies After Falling Attempting To Retrieve Downed Drone In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man from the area was killed after reaching for a downed drone and falling more than 250 feet in the Hudson Valley.  The incident took place in Orange County in Deerpark around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, said Trooper Steven Nevel. State police responded to the Hawk’s Nest in the town of Deerpark after the victim, identified as Sullivan County resident Binh Ledinh, age 42, of Lumberland, was reported missing by his wife, Nevel said.
