Maurie McInnis was named Yale’s 24th president in an announcement by the school. A scientist has captured a video showing sharks swimming through huge schools of fish off the New York coast. Chris Paparo, who runs the "Fish Guy Photos" YouTube channel, wrote in his channel's description that he is a "wildlife photographer, writer and lecturer," who manages the Marine Sciences Center on Long Island at the Southampton campus of Stony Brook University. High School Football Players Injured During Shooting In Westchester
Two teenagers suffered gunshot wounds in what has been described as a “random act of violence” while walking home from a party in Westchester, officials said. Gunshots rang out in Mount Vernon at approximately 1 a.m. near the intersection of 14th Street and West 1st Avenue on Sunday, June 13, with bullets striking 18-year-old Tommy Guest, and his cousin, 16-year-old Jarred Collins. Future Hurricanes Could Have More Intense Rain, Study Projects
Future tropical cyclones, or hurricanes, will feature more intense rain with more rain produced per hour than previous storms but fewer hurricanes will make landfall, according to predictions in a brand-new study. The researchers at the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University announced the findings on Monday, June 15.
