Westchester's Own Michael Douglas To Receive Achievement Award In Fairfield County
Longtime actor and producer Michael Douglas, a longtime New York resident, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award in Connecticut.
The 79-year-old Douglas, a Westchester County resident formerly of Bedford and now living in Irvington-on-Hudson, will be presented the award on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Fairfield County, at the Avon Theater in Stamford.

2 Westchester County Cities On List Of Most Expensive Places In NY Metro Area, Report Says
Several cities in the region are among the most expensive cities in the region to rent in, a new report says.
In Westchester County, both White Plains and Yonkers appear on the list of most expensive cities in the New York Metropolitan Area, according to a report from Monday, Nov. 7 by Zumper.
White Plains ranks fourth on the list with a $2,590 monthly one-bedroom rent, and Yonkers ranks tenth on the list with a $1,900 monthly one-bedroom rent, the report says.

Man, Woman Injured After Being Struck By Car At Intersection In Fairfield County
Two people were injured after being struck by a vehicle at a busy Fairfield County intersection in a crash involving a Hudson Valley man.
The incident took place in Stamford around 11:20 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14 at the intersection of Bedford Street and Broad Street.
According to Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, of the Stamford Police, responding officers found two pedestrians, a man, and a woman lying on the ground injured.

A report from SiriusXM about a stolen SUV led to the arrests of three suspects in Westchester County.
Police received a report from SiriusXM at about 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, about a stolen Infiniti QX60 that was stopped in Rye Brook on Holly Lane, the Rye Brook Police Department reported.
Officers found the SUV in the area and determined that it had been stolen from Fairfield County, on Saturday, Aug. 20, in Stamford, according to the report.

A popular restaurant chain that specializes in tacos is debuting a brand-new location in Fairfield County.
The Taco Project opened a new location at 1111 High Ridge Road in Stamford in mid-April 12, according to a representative.
The owners also operate Westchester County locations in Tarrytown, Yonkers, Bronxville, and Pleasantville.
The restaurants offer a wide selection of tacos including chicken, fish, steak, shrimp, chorizo, cajun salmon, veggie, and more.

Numerous Hudson Valley teens and two adults were nabbed in a stolen vehicle with guns after running from police.
The incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10 in Dutchess County when the City of Poughkeepsie Police spotted a stolen vehicle in a parking lot.
The vehicle was reported stolen out of Stamford, Connecticut, and occupied by several individuals, said Det. Sgt. George Camacho, of the City of Poughkeepsie Police.
