Social Media Post Leads To Lockout Of Hudson Valley School
A social media threat of violence has led to the lockout of a Hudson Valley school. The incident occurred in Orange County early Thursday, Sept. 19, in Chester. According to Chester Police Chief Daniel Doellinger, officers responded to the Chester Academy after a student reported having seen a threat of violence posted on social media. Person Accused Of Making Threat Against Current Student At High School In Hudson Valley
A former student has been accused of making threats against a current student at a high school in the Hudson Valley. On Thursday, March 23 at approximately 12:30 pm, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into threats made on social media targeting a student at Brewster High School. Two Schools In Hudson Valley Go Remote After Social Media Threats
Two schools in the Hudson Valley have moved to remote learning following a social media threat. Both Poughkeepsie Middle School and Poughkeepsie High School will be operating on a remote learning schedule on Monday, March 21, due to the social media threat made against both schools, according to a message on the district's website. Police in Northern Westchester are investigating a social media threat reportedly made by a student threatening violence.
