Two people are facing charges after allegedly convincing underage girls in the region to send them sexually explicit images in exchange for nicotine products.
Michael May, age 24, and Tomassina May, age 67, both of Saratoga Springs, were arrested Monday, Jan. 9, following a months-long investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies began looking into the pair, whose relationship was not immediately clear, after receiving numerous complaints that Michael May had used social media to contact underage girls in Wilton, Northumberland, Moreau, and Saratoga Springs.

Jason Storms, age 44, of Saratoga Springs, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 27, following a joint investigation by New York State Police and the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

Two horse groomers are facing drug charges following an investigation at the historic Saratoga Race Course.
Jose Hidalgo, age 59, and Guadalupe Montesdecoa-Aguilar, age 36, were found with over 200 grams of cocaine in a dorm residence on New York Racing Association (NYRA) property, Saratoga Springs Police said.
The pair was arrested Thursday, Aug. 18, on multiple felony charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

A jail inmate from the Capital District is facing a fresh set of charges after allegedly assaulting a sheriff’s deputy at a hospital in the region.
Saratoga County resident Bruce Larrabee, age 24, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Monday, Aug. 1, for felony second-degree assault.
According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Larrabee, an inmate at the county jail, kicked the deputy in his face causing physical injury.
The incident reportedly happened Sunday, July 31, while the two were at Saratoga Hospital, located on Myrtle Street in Saratoga Springs.

A Capital District woman who was trusted to manage the finances of a legally incompetent veteran is accused of misappropriating tens of thousands of dollars.
Saratoga County resident JoAnne Natalie, age 64, of Saratoga Springs, appeared in federal court in Albany Thursday, July 21, where she was arraigned on charges of stealing from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and misappropriating funds.
Natalie was released pending a trial before US District Judge Glenn Suddaby.
