New York has suspended liquor licenses for 15 more businesses, including two in the Hudson Valley, after finding what it labeled violations of COVID-19 pandemic-related executive orders. Over the last week, the state's multi-agency task force -- led by the State Police and State Liquor Authority -- conducted 8,634 compliance checks, documenting violations at 40 establishments. A reward has been issued for information that leads to the arrest of wanted men who allegedly pistol-whipped a gas station clerk during an armed robbery in Dutchess County. New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest after a pair of suspects robbed the Shell gas station on Route 9 in Fishkill earlier this year. Two Store Clerks Charged With Selling Alcohol To Minor During Detail, State Police Say
Two store clerks were charged with selling alcohol to a minor during an underage enforcement operation conducted by state police in the area. The detail, held on Saturday, May 23 in Dutchess, utilized an underage volunteer to purchase alcohol under the observation of plainclothes investigators and supported by uniformed troopers. A total of 18 store clerks refused to complete the sale of alcohol to the volunteer.
