Six cows are on the loose tafter a trailer hauling cattle crashed, dumping 15 cows onto a busy highway. The incident occurred in Orange County at 6:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, at the intersection of I-84 and Route 6 in Deerpark. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Kenworth carrying cows of various breeds was traveling west when the driver stated that his brakes failed. 2-Car Crash Shuts Down Busy Hudson Valley Intersection, Sends Person To Hospital
A two-vehicle crash caused a busy Hudson Valley intersection to close for almost an hour and caused injuries. The collision happened in Putnam County on Sunday, July 21 just after 5:30 p.m., when two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road (Route 34) in Mahopac. According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, one person received medical transport while another was taken to a hospital. The intersection was closed for around 40 minutes until the cars involved were removed.

An area man who fled from police during a routine traffic stop causing a school lockdown was captured after a chase. The 20-year-old unidentified Dutchess County man from Pawling was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 9, following the stop by Carmel Police in Putnam County.
