The crash occurred around 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, when the Tappan man, driving a 2008 Pontiac G5 northeast on Clausland Mountain Road, veered off the pavement, striking a large rock and an earth embankment on the east side of the roadway, said Capt. 2 Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Tree In Hudson Valley Two people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in a residential Hudson Valley neighborhood. It happened in Rockland County at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 in the hamlet of Blauvelt. A tan, four-door 2003 Acura RL was traveling north on Moison Road North when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree on the west side of the road, Orangetown Police said. Man Drowns While Swimming At Pond In Area, Police Say A man died after jumping into an area pond and then failed to resurface. The incident took place around 12:40 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, in Rockland County at the pond located at Memorial Park in Spring Valley. Spring Valley fire and police responded to the park after receiving a report of a man who was swimming in the water, went under, and never resurfaced, said Spring Valley PD Detective Matt Galli.
